Have been wanting to dye some yarn with birch leaves . . . we have a variety of trees in our neighboring park. So, this was the day!I was going to take a photo of the yarn before dyeing . . . and this magazine happened to be waiting on my bench! This is the yarn (above photo) before color!

The result! I was sorely disappointed as I was cooking the yarn on the stove . . . it was coming out a murky, dull, brown-grey-green, but after rinse, rinse, rinse, soap, rinse, rinse, rinse--an amazing, bold, bright green!
